ELLIE GOULDING MAKEUP | FT. LILY

Most of you know Ellie Goulding as the blonde bombshell who burst onto the pop scene a few years ago and has recently become the face of MAC with her (now discontinued *cue sobbing*) collaboration collection.

Not only that, but she's also known for her soft 'n' natural makeup - think flattering tones of fresh peach, brown and shimmery shell pinks.

This post is in collaboration with the lovely Lily from Lily Blogs A Lot, who is uploading a Kylie Jenner inspired makeup, I believe, so once you've read up on how to recreate Ellie's look on this post, go and give her some love!

Ellie's makeup usually consists of a healthy and illuminated base, warm brown crease, soft yet structured brows and a nude lip - super wearable and easy to recreate using everyday products!

According to Ellie's go to makeup artist claims, ''She has the most unbelievably healthy skin, it glows so much that I have to tone it down!''. To achieve her trademark glowing complexion, stick to dewy and illuminating products, such as this LACURA (yes, Aldi's fabulous makeup line) concealer pen. My MUA highlighter and the Bourjois Little Round Pot blushers are also ideal for recreating her base.

Goulding tends to stick to a neutral eye palette, so to ensure your eyes pop, apply a muted brown shadow, like MAC's Wedge in the crease for subtle definition. As always, I'm using my trusty Lash Sensational to recreate her faux-lash look.

As for brows, Lucy, Ellie's MUA always makes sure that the star's brows are filled in with pencil, think Bourjois's staple pencil. To make certain they're going to stay in place through performing on stage, sculpt 'n' set with an industrial strength gel - my personal fav being from Benefit.

She's known for her glossy, nude lippies, so remember to apply an uber-hydrating lip colour like the Clinique chubby sticks - your lips will thank you through the colder months approaching!

  8. I am a fan of this post as I like how you've gone about using Ellie's makeup look but altering with products that are equivalent to her expensive brands. This seems like a very good collaboration idea!
